Joseph Paul Wollweber, Oceanside, NY, age 24, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, January 13th. Joe leaves his parents, Meredith and Gerard Wollweber, brothers Thomas, Luke and Nicholas, grandparents Paul and Patty Hudson of Bloomfield, NY, grandparents Gerard and Therese Wollweber of Rockville Centre, aunts and uncles Jean and Tim Chelius, Mary and Bill Candela, James and Karen Wollweber, Steve and Beth Wollweber, Ann and Neal Becker, Dawn Smith, Kristin Hudson, Sarah and Justin Williams, and Megan and Paul Trippi and dear cousins Tim, Dan, Ryan, Billy, Matt, Sara, Grace, James, Emma, Steve, Henry, Therese, Margot, Keenan, Melissa, Reilly, Alex, Hudson, Ethan, Dominick, Gabriella, his Goddaughter Gianna, Sam, Frankie and Harrison. Joe was born April 10, 1994 in Rockville Centre, graduated from Oceanside High School in 2012 and SUNY Binghamton four years later with a BA in Economics. Upon graduation, Joe worked as an executive recruiter. He was an avid Yankees fan, loved baseball, basketball, volleyball, fantasy sports and Hamilton the Musical. Joe especially enjoyed concerts with friends, and traveling upstate to Bloomfield and Lake George.
Joe was a stylish guy, tall and handsome. Visiting Hours are 7-9pm, Tuesday, January 15th at Macken Mortuary, 52 Clinton Ave, Rockville Centre, NY 11570, also Wednesday 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass is 10am Thursday, January 17th at St. Agnes Cathedral, 29 Quealey Place, Rockville Centre, NY 11570.
